Skincare Review #1! Vitamin C Skinboost from The Body Shop

Hello Everyone!

I am super excited about this review because it has to be my favorite skincare product of all time. Before I started working at The Body Shop, I only used their body care. Soon after getting hired, though, I began to explore the skincare in the shop. Since I have struggled with cystic acne for years, it was only natural that I turned to the Tea Tree skincare line (reviews later) to help with my blemished skin. But what I really longed for was some miracle product that would get rid of all of the deep-red acne scars that the acne left behind; even when I wasn't having any breakouts I still had to feel self-conscious and cover up the red dots all over my face. I was recommended the Vitamin C Skinboost Serum, and haven't looked back since! This serum is velvety smooth, and smells like oranges (even though the vitamin C comes from the camu camu berry). I am able to use this unique serum as a primer before I apply my makeup every day and within one month ALL of my acne scarring was gone! Now it takes only a week to get rid of an acne scar that would have remained on my face for at least a month. Not only has this product improved the appearance of my skin, it has immensely improved my self-confidence! Five Stars!

Makeup Review #1! Lip and Cheek Velvet Stick (03)

Hey everyone!

So my first review is a makeup review, simply because I'm OBSESSED with this product. As you can see from the image, this balm stain is *black* in the tube, but is supposed to recognize the pH in your skin and apply as your perfect pink. On me the color turns a beautiful deep berry which is the perfect pink for me in the fall/winter. I love the product not only because of its color, but because it doesn't dry my lips out! I haven't tried this product on my cheeks (it's also a cheek stain), but if I do in the future I'll give you guys a review. But as a lip product, I totally recommend this lip balm stain and the other colors in the new Smoky Poppy lip line at The Body Shop <3

Hi all!

I have created this blog to be helpful to everyone who wants tips on skincare and makeup. As I work at The Body Shop (USA) most of my reviews will be based off of products you can purchase from there. However, I will also include other reviews (mostly drugstore!). Since I have oily and blemish-prone skin I will mostly be talking about products that help on that front, however I do know quite a bit about all skin types and I will try to be well-rounded on that subject as well! Stay tuned for my first review and tips :)
